Biography and Education

Michael got his start in massage while still in high school. His high school had a program called Health Occupations, which was an introduction to the health field. In his senior year, this class allowed the students to work at the local hospital, nursing home and children's wing, where the students performed massage on the patients, 30 years later, he is still doing massage.

Still, he continues his education in massage and bodywork since. Currently, he has well over 2,000 hours of education in the field of massage and bodywork. Michael also saw the need to join and to be active in his professional associations: the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Within the AMTA, Michael now serves as the Southern Representative for the California State Chapter. Michael has also pursued to receive the California state recognized certification. He is a Certified Massage Therapist.

Even with all of this knowledge and training, Michael is the first to admit, he does not know the answers to everything. He does, however, have a great network of therapists, professional staff and a library of information to find the right answer for you. Should there a come to a point that you discover Michael is not the best therapist for you, he will refer you to another person who he hopes will meet your needs.
